This modern bridge replaces the old hand-winched ferry, which could only carry up to five vehicles at a time, often resulting in long queues and delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The bridge is part of a larger initiative to upgrade and pave approximately 27 miles of roadway.
